Jul. 26—SARTELL — The Willmar American Legion baseball team saw its season end with a 7-0 loss to Cold Spring Post 455 on Friday night in the Sub-State 11 Division I playoffs.

Cold Spring pitcher Jace Griffin tossed a one-hitter, striking out one with no walks.

Eli Hagen had Willmar's lone hit.

Nolan VanLoy went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and Noah Olmscheid was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for Cold Spring. Max Fredin and Blake Kelly also each had two hits for Post 455.

Sartell then beat Cold Spring 3-1 after Post 455 eliminated Willmar.
