As the New Orleans Saints continue preparing for the 2026 season, two of their top wide receivers are already making a positive impact off the field.

First-round pick Jordyn Tyson and All-Pro receiver Chris Olave have teamed up for their back-to-school giveaway, "The Kickoff," in New Orleans, giving back to the community before taking the field together for their first season as teammates. The event will be held at The City of Love Gospel Church on Saturday, August 1, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., where local families can receive backpacks and school supplies to help prepare for the upcoming school year.

Registration requirements are as follows:

  • Registration is required for entry.
  • Registration is limited to four children per family. Any duplicate registrations beyond this limit will be canceled.
  • Each child receiving school supplies must be registered individually.
  • The registered child must be present to receive their backpack and school supplies.
  • One backpack will be distributed per registered child.
  • Supplies are limited and reserved for registered attendees.

Beyond the excitement surrounding what Tyson and Olave can accomplish together on the field, their commitment to making a difference in the New Orleans community is just as meaningful. While fans are eager to watch the duo catch touchdowns and create big plays this season, initiatives like this demonstrate that their impact extends far beyond football. By helping provide local children with the school supplies they need to begin the academic year, Tyson and Olave are using their platform to give back to the city they now represent. For a community like New Orleans, those acts of generosity can leave a lasting impact that reaches well beyond the football field.
