Sixers to face Nets on the road in preseason matchup as season nears

The 2026-27 season is still a few months away, but as the calendar draws closer to August, it's time to begin piecing the schedule together for both the regular season and the preseason.

As the Sixers move forward, teams are beginning to announce their preseason schedules. The Boston Celtics, for example, announced they would face Philadelphia on Oct. 10 at the TD Garden and then again on Oct. 16 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena.
Now, the Brooklyn Nets have announced their preseason schedule with a matchup scheduled with the Sixers on Oct. 8 at the Barclays Center. That gives Philadelphia three exhibition games now as everybody looks to get its schedule together for the upcoming season.
Another piece of the preseason schedule has been announced. The Sixers will be in Brooklyn on October 8th to face the Nets.

The Sixers have yet to officially announce their preseason schedule, so that will be interesting to wait and see over the next handful of weeks, but three games are already put together. Philadelphia will have a chance to look at its roster and prepare for what it hopes will be a prosperous season.
