As injuries occur and teams realize their weaknesses during training camp and preseason action, many of these veteran free agents will find a home.

Stefon Diggs, WR
2025 Team: New England Patriots
Stefon Diggs was released by the New England Patriots a week before free agency began, and he is still unsigned several months later. There are some off-field and legal concerns for the veteran wide receiver that could be scaring away some teams.
On the field, Diggs is still playing at an extremely high level. Last season, he ranked seventh in the NFL in PFN’s WR Impact metric despite coming off a torn ACL. Diggs is still super talented, so a WR-needy team will surely give him a shot eventually.
Potential Landing Spots: Commanders, Ravens
Germaine Pratt, LB
2025 Team: Indianapolis Colts
Last year was a bit strange for Germaine Pratt. He started the year with the Cincinnati Bengals, but he requested a trade in February. Cincinnati released him in June, and the Las Vegas Raiders signed him the next day. After playing in just four games, the Raiders also released him.

It wasn’t until he signed with the Indianapolis Colts that Pratt bounced back to his true self. He ended the year with 126 total tackles between the two teams and tied for third among all NFL linebackers with 10 pass deflections in coverage. He also posted a career-low 5.4% missed tackle percentage last year. Pratt ranked No. 20 in PFN’s LB Impact Score last season. While last year was odd, he’s still a very good football player and can help a team.
Potential Landing Spots: Titans, Jets, Bengals
Jadeveon Clowney, EDGE
2025 Team: Dallas Cowboys
Jadeveon Clowney is a pass-rush mercenary for hire, and he still does it at a high level. He’s played for seven teams over the last eight years, but he’s coming off an 8.5-sack season for the Dallas Cowboys and has reached that mark in three of his last five seasons.
Though Clowney missed a few games due to injury and stepped into more of a rotational role for Dallas, he ranked No. 15 in pass-rush win rate among edge rushers at 16.7%. Expect him to sign another one-year deal, but he’s still a quality pass rusher entering Year 13 of his NFL career. Last season, he was the No. 34-ranked EDGE in the league in PFN’s EDGE Impact Score. He recently visited with the Cleveland Browns, but it remains to be seen if the two sides will agree to a deal.

Haason Reddick, EDGE
2025 Team: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Similar to the aforementioned Clowney, Haason Reddick has now entered pass-rushing mercenary territory, having played for five teams in the last six years. In 2025, he totaled 2.5 sacks and 34 pressures in 13 games for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Coming off of two disappointing seasons in a row, it’s very unlikely at this point that Reddick returns to the Pro Bowl form we saw with the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the 31-year-old is still a solid depth option for a team that’s looking to bolster its pass rush.

Tyreek Hill, WR
2025 Team: Miami Dolphins
Tyreek Hill is an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his illustrious career after the Miami Dolphins released him earlier this offseason. With declining numbers, off-field concerns, and a serious injury that he’s still recovering from, there’s certainly some risk involved.

However, in the four games he played before getting hurt, Hill was on a 17-game pace for 1,127 receiving yards. In 2023, he was a first-team All-Pro and came in second for Offensive Player of the Year voting. Once Hill is healthy, he should receive interest from a number of contenders. Reuniting with the Kansas City Chiefs on a one-year deal would make a ton of sense.

Joey Bosa, EDGE
2025 Team: Buffalo Bills
Last season, Joey Bosa joined the Buffalo Bills and led the NFL with 5 forced fumbles while also tallying 5 sacks. According to PFN’s EDGE Impact Score, Bosa was the 25th-best EDGE in the NFL and his 12 QB hits ranked 14th in the league. Injuries have slowed him down, but he’s still a high-level rotational piece who can contribute on a contending team.
Injuries and age are the big concerns with Bosa, as he’s missed 25 games over the last four seasons. That could lead some to think he’s a regression candidate, but after his 2025 campaign, he should still be treated as a solid stopgap starter.

Bobby Wagner, LB
2025 Team: Washington Commanders
Bobby Wagner is 36 years old, but he was still the eighth-best linebacker in the league last season based on PFN’s LB Impact Score (and he ranked No. 6 in 2024). The active leader in tackles with exactly 2,000 over his career, Wagner posted an impressive 162 tackles, 8 tackles for a loss, 2 interceptions, and 4.5 sacks in 2025.
Whenever Wagner becomes eligible, he’ll be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He’s arguably the best linebacker of his generation, and he’s still a solid starter at this stage of his career.

Keenan Allen, WR
2025 Team: Los Angeles Chargers
While Keenan Allen is entering his 14th season in the NFL, don’t fool yourself into thinking that he’s no longer an impact player. Even at this stage of his career, he was a significant contributor last season after reuniting with the Los Angeles Chargers.
