The Philadelphia 76ers landing LeBron James changes everything for the franchise. The Sixers will now head into the 2026-27 season as one of the top favorites in the Eastern Conference as they will feature a lineup with James, Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and VJ Edgecombe. Philadelphia has the best collection of talent in the league.

The James addition is one of the biggest in the history of the franchise, if not the biggest. He's a megastar on the basketball court and he will be looking to get the Sixers to the mountaintop for the first time since 1983. The opportunity for him is there to help a team that really needs it.
Edgecombe, who is set to enter his second season following a stellar rookie year, gave his reaction on James landing in Philadelphia as he was in the middle of a workout when it all happened.

Edgecombe was just like the rest of us when the news broke as he could barely believe the news. He had to make sure it wasn't one of those parody accounts on social media as he had to check for confirmation. Either way, James is a Sixer and the entire team is buzzing as they look to end a long title drought for the franchise.
