Four-star interior offensive lineman Sam Walker, who plays at Carrollton (Ga.) Central, announced on Instagram that he has narrowed his recruitment to three finalists: Clemson, Georgia, and South Carolina. The Tigers will now look to stay in the race against a pair of regional rivals as Walker moves closer to making his decision.

Walker is regarded as one of the premier interior linemen in the country. He is currently ranked as the No. 7 interior offensive lineman in the 2028 class, making him an important target for Clemson offensive line coach Matt Luke. The Tigers entered the mix earlier this summer when they extended Walker an offer on June 17, and they have quickly positioned themselves among his top choices.

Landing a player of Walker’s caliber would provide another major boost for Clemson’s future offensive line, an area Luke has made a priority since arriving in Tigertown. While there is still plenty of time before the 2028 class is finalized, making Walker’s final three is another encouraging sign for the Tigers on the recruiting trail.

Clemson’s 2028 class is just getting started. The Tigers currently have one commitment after Trace Hawkins announced his pledge to the program on Thursday. As the class begins to take shape, Walker stands out as one of the biggest remaining targets, and Clemson will now try to beat out both Georgia and South Carolina for the highly regarded offensive lineman.
