The Crew hosts Liga MX opponent Atlas FC in their first phase one match of the 2026 Leagues Cup on Aug. 4.
After playing three MLS matches since coming back from the World Cup break, the Crew now take a break from MLS play and face three Liga MX teams in Leagues Cup competition. In the 2025 Leagues Cup, the Crew were eliminated in the group stage. They won the tournament in 2024.

In the Crew's last MLS match Aug. 1, newly acquired midfielder Brais Mendez made a free kick in the 84th minute to earn a 2-2 draw against a Lionel Messi-led Inter Miami.
Atlas finished sixth in Liga MX last season.
The Crew will advance in the Leagues Cup if they rank in the top four of MLS clubs based on Phase One performance.
