Whether it's his energy, his leadership or his message, Fitzgerald has become must-see content every time a microphone or camera is pointed in his direction.

Sound clips are flooding social media feeds, and with each one, Fitzgerald continues to raise the standard.

In a clip posted by Michigan State Football, Fitzgerald's intensity, passion and excitement to kick off summer camp were on full display. In just 60 seconds, he shouted, "Let's go!" 12 times. Pair that with a handful of "Yeah, yeah, yeah!" chants, several "Have some fun today!" reminders and more than a few Ric Flair-style "Woooo!" calls, and the energy was contagious.

It was electric.

The kind of energy that makes you want to get your day started and attack it with purpose. Fitzgerald greeted every player with a smile as they made their way onto the field and through warmups, bringing an enthusiasm that was impossible to ignore.

But then there's the other side of Pat Fitzgerald.

The side that quickly shifts from excitement to expectations.

In another clip posted by Spartans Illustrated, Fitzgerald discussed the standard he is implementing in East Lansing. It isn't just about football. It's about building habits, accountability and respect that extend far beyond the field.

Fitzgerald said, "The attention to detail in everything we do."

He then shared a story about finding two Gatorade bottles and a wrapper that had been left on the ground instead of being thrown away.

"I took a piece of their ass afterwards," Fitzgerald said.

He followed it with perhaps the most important message of all.

"Because the standard is, everywhere we go, we will leave it better than we found it."

After addressing the team, Fitzgerald said players actually started going out of their way to find trash and throw it away.

That's setting a culture.

Fitzgerald is establishing a standard in East Lansing, from the pristine condition of the facilities to the attention to detail on and off the field. It will take every Spartan buying into that vision, but from an outside-the-locker-room perspective, it already feels like this team is embracing it.

Another video from Spartans Illustrated offered an even deeper look into what drives Fitzgerald.

He reflected on his childhood, explaining how playing with older kids taught him about himself and helped him fall in love with football. From there, he shifted to discussing the impact of leadership and why coaching means so much to him.

"Watching guys grow from whenever the Spartans identify them until they walk across the stage."

It's a reminder that, to Fitzgerald, this job is about much more than wins and losses. It's about helping young men grow throughout their time in East Lansing.

He also shared a conversation with Tre White before practice.

Fitzgerald noticed White walking and asked, "Getting your steps in?"

White simply replied, "Just taking it in."

Reflecting on that moment, Fitzgerald said, "I think that's what football does to you. It impacts your soul."

Since arriving at Michigan State, Fitzgerald has delivered one memorable quote after another. Some are intense. Some are humorous. Others are surprisingly poetic. All of them seem to carry a purpose.

With the pads finally on and the season opener now less than a month away, the anticipation continues to build.

Yesterday's message to the team may have been the one that stood out the most.

"If you don't want to sacrifice, then don't show up tomorrow."

That quote has stuck with me ever since I heard it.

A program desperate to regain its identity now has a head coach who refuses to lower the standard. Whether it's demanding attention to detail, teaching respect or challenging his players to sacrifice for something bigger than themselves, Fitzgerald appears to be laying the foundation for something Michigan State fans have been waiting to see.

And if these preseason speeches are any indication, watching him build it may end up being just as entertaining as the football itself.
