Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Office of the Joint Charity Commissioner, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Division, has appealed to all public Ganeshotsav and Durga Utsav mandals under its jurisdiction to obtain permanent registration for their respective organisations.

Every year, a large number of applications are submitted seeking permission to collect donations for celebrating public Ganeshotsav and Durga Utsav in accordance with Section 41(C) of the Maharashtra Public Trusts Act, 1950. However, mandals that have obtained permanent registration under the Societies Registration Act are not required to seek separate permission each year.

For permanently registered mandals, it becomes much easier to manage donations, various goods, and valuable assets, including gold and silver, received during the festivals in a transparent and regulated manner. This helps promote discipline, transparency, and accountability in the administration of the mandals.

Therefore, through a press release, the Office of the Joint Charity Commissioner has urged all public Ganeshotsav and Durga Utsav mandals operating under its jurisdiction to obtain permanent registration for their respective organisations.
