Delhi: A shocking incident highlighting alleged civic negligence has come to light from Delhi, where three schoolchildren narrowly escaped death after falling into an open flood drain while returning home from school. The incident occurred in Jagatpur village under the Wazirabad police station limits on Thursday and CCTV footage of the rescue has now surfaced online.

CCTV Captures Terrifying Incident
As seen in the CCTV footage that has gone viral, the children were walking along the roadside when they suddenly slipped into the uncovered drain. The incident took place during a traffic jam, which proved crucial as motorists and passersby immediately noticed the children struggling in the water.
An auto-rickshaw driver reportedly rushed into the drain without hesitation and began pulling the children out. Local residents also joined the rescue effort and within minutes, all three children were safely rescued. The timely intervention of the auto driver and bystanders prevented what could have turned into a major tragedy.
