Caleb Williams sounds off on Bears-Packers rivalry

The Chicago Bears have picked up plenty of steam and momentum after the first season of Ben Johnson as head coach last year, and a lot of that attention is fixated on their rivalry with the Green Bay Packers.

Not only is the NFL's longest-standing rivalry building on the field, but Johnson and Packers head coach Matt LaFleur are also building their own rivalry, particularly after Chicago eliminated Green Bay from the wild-card playoffs back in January.
Bears quarterback Caleb Williams recently appeared on the "Up and Adams" with Kay Adams and was asked about who is leading the charge in momentum in the storied rivalry between both franchises.
"Typically, I like to be in the driver's seat, that's how I feel about things just mindset wise," Williams said. "I go into every game with the mindset that I already won, that helps get to the end and confirm it. It's just something I do, the driver's seat thing is something I do and that's something I like to bring to the team, bringing that mindset into big games, bringing that mindset when people overlook the opponent, and bringing that mindset into the big rivalries."
While Williams didn't throw gasoline on the fire burning between both sides, his confidence going into every game and rivalry should continue to keep the vibes high against Green Bay, where the Bears have taken two out of the last three.
This is the first winning streak the Bears have held over the Packers since 2007, and they have not won three straight since 2005 season. Now, Johnson will look to extend Chicago's winning streak in the 2026 season to at least three games in the always-entertaining rivalry.
