La Liga giants Real Madrid have this weekend been tipped to reignite their interest in the services of a member of the midfield ranks at Premier League champions Arsenal.

Real Madrid were of course dealt a heavy blow on the transfer front this week, upon being informed of Manchester City standout Rodri’s decision to join arch rivals Barcelona.
José Mourinho and co, in turn, have been left without desired reinforcements at the base of midfield for the season ahead.
And as alluded to above, this situation could culminate in Los Blancos launching a fresh offensive for Martín Zubimendi over the weeks ahead.
The brass at the Santiago Bernabéu are known to have expressed a keen interest in Zubimendi last summer, prior to his departure from La Liga rivals Real Sociedad.
And according to Mundo Deportivo, with the arrival of Bruno Guimarães at Arsenal having thrown the Spanish international’s future in north London into alleged doubt:
‘Real Madrid now have the chance to try again.’
