5 toughest cuts from Dolphins Wire's 2026 53-man roster projection 2.0

The Miami Dolphins completed their first two weeks of training camp with a session inside Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday instead of the practice fields of their Baptist Health Training Complex.
Miami has the day off on Sunday before returning to the practice fields to prepare for a joint session with the Washington Commanders ahead of their preseason meeting.

With nine practices down, we've released our second 53-man roster projection, which involved cutting 38 players. Now, we're going to go over the five most difficult cuts from Sunday's projection.
WR Tahj Washington
Washington caught just three passes for 37 yards in six games last year after missing his entire rookie campaign with an injury. Through two weeks, the 25-year-old hasn't flashed as much as some other wideouts in the room, so he may have to hope for a practice squad spot.
WR Theo Wease Jr.
In our first roster projection before training camp, Wease beat out Washington for the last spot in the room after catching six passes for 139 yards and a touchdown as a rookie in 2025. However, 2025 undrafted free agent A.J. Henning has made more plays in this camp. Wease still has time to earn a spot, but he has to make a strong impression.
DE Robert Beal Jr.
The 26-year-old former fifth-round pick joined Miami this offseason on a one-year deal after spending three years with the San Francisco 49ers and recording 36 tackles and one sack. Miami's pass rush isn't great, but Beal hasn't stood out much himself either, meaning the Dolphins could opt for a younger option like Mason Reiger.
LB Ronnie Harrison Jr.
Harrison has bounced around the league a bit, spending time with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts and Atlanta Falcons before landing in Miami this offseason. He's a solid veteran who could fill multiple roles, but in a deep room, and with Kyle Louis also on the roster, he didn't make our projection.
CB Marco Wilson
Miami's cornerback room isn't great, and through two weeks, we've yet to see Storm Duck or Darrell Baker Jr., who are both on PUP. However, Wilson, like the rest of the room, has been fairly inconsistent. Despite bringing starting experience to the battle, he loses out to A.J. Green III, who has made some plays in camp.
