Steelers shuffle oline assignments at training camp practice

There were plenty of highlights from the Pittsburgh Steelers 28-9 win over the Green Bay Packers in the first week of the preseason. But one of the lowlights was the play of the offensive line, in particular the new starting right side. Guard Spencer Anders and tackle Dylan Cook have been plugged into the starting lineup since May but didn't look like starters on Thursday.
This forced new head coach Mike McCarthy to make some adjustments on Sunday to his practice rotation on that side. Veteran guard Brock Hoffman took some first-team reps at right guard and Broderick Jones took some first-team reps over Cook at right tackle.

Pittsburgh has plenty of options at both spots and two more games to sort it out. Rookie guard Gennings Dunker might be the future at right guard but for now that plan is on hold. Meanwhile, rookie offensive tackle Max Iheanachor is missing practice with an injury, leaving just Cook and Jones to sort out the depth chart. Jones is on the mend from a serious neck injury but seems to be ahead of schedule and is working to put back on some weight from last season.
