· Yahoo Sports
The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Seattle Mariners in a way that calling it dominant is an understatement. Naturally, fans on social media were a little unsure of how to react.
The Milwaukee Brewers massacred the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night, there is simply no other way to describe it. Having scored just one run in the first four innings, they scored a whopping 21 in the next four.

Christian Yelich got the show on the road with his homer in the fifth inning. However, the entire batting lineup for the Brewers managed to get themselves on the scorecard.
Milwaukee’s 22-0 win is historic, to say the least. It is tied for the largest shutout win in baseball since 1888. Unsurprisingly, the result has gone viral on social media.

No team likes to lose, but a loss of this magnitude can potentially end a season. After they almost made the World Series last season, the Mariners have struggled this year. This might be the cherry on top.
There is no sympathy in the world of sports, though. Especially not when a team allows a humiliation of this nature. And fans on social media have a lot to say.
“I think it’s time for the Mariners to just call it quits as an organization and move out of Seattle,” one fan wrote. “End their season, I’m so serious. What an embarrassment this is,” said another.
“Imagine paying for tickets to watch that and your team scores nothing. Seattle fans deserve hazard pay at this point,” a hilarious comment read. “I am still in shock and might be for a few more days,” a fourth fan claimed.
“I know it’s time to laugh at the Mariners, but what a performance by Milwaukee’s bats!” a fan pointed out. “However you slice it, a football score in a baseball game is crazy,” claimed a sixth fan.
All of these comments make complete sense. The Mariners will need some time to lick their wounds, and they have a lot to answer for to their fans following this humiliating defeat.
