New Orlando Pirates ‘finisher’ Pedersen not 100% fit

Orlando Pirates fans may have to wait a little bit longer to see new striker Sebastian Pedersen.
This after Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou revealed that the “finisher” is not 100% fit to play for the Buccaneers.
Pedersen joined the Sea Robbers from Norwegian side Sogndal during the offseason.
“I think there is a lot of excitement around his value, and we’re happy, of course, when we see his data in his previous clubs, and when we see that what we need in our game and when you know that last season in Africa Pirates were the team who create the most chances in the continent that the average of conversion was low, let’s say poor, and we needed to find some solutions,” Ouaddou told the media ahead of this afternoon’s MTN8 semi-final first leg clash against Sekhukhune United at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
“We can see definitely that he has the quality to finish, definitely. I don’t need one month to see that he’s a finisher,” the coach explained.

“Now the question mark is again whether he can put his qualities on the table and to show his qualities it’s important to be fit and in that area he is not 100%.
“The performance department is working closely with him to have him fully ready,” Ouaddou explained.
Meanwhile, Pirates have given injury update ahead of this afternoon’s clash against Babina Noko.
“Pirates will have to face Sekhukhune without the likes of Sihle Nduli and Thalente Mbatha, while Tshepang Moremi could soon return after sitting out the win over Chippa (United),” a club statement read.
Sekhukhune will also be without left-back Vuyo Letlapa, who is ruled out through injury while on-loan right-back Tshepho Mashiloane is unavailable against his mother club.
