According to information, the incident occurred in Lavkushnagar of Chhatarpur district, leaving people at the hospital surprised.
The newborn reportedly has an additional, partially developed torso attached to the upper part of the abdomen. News of the unusual birth soon spread, and pictures of the baby surfaced on social media.
Doctors suspect rare twin condition
Doctors at the health centre said it appeared to be a rare case involving twins. According to them, two babies had started developing in the womb, but one of them could not develop fully.
As a result, some of the second baby’s body parts remained attached to the fully developed newborn, making it appear that the baby has four arms and four legs.
Scientific reason behind the condition
Medically, such a condition may be associated with a parasitic twin, a rare form of conjoined twinning.
It can occur when a fertilised egg begins dividing into identical twins but does not separate completely during the early stages of pregnancy.
In such cases, one embryo develops normally, while the other remains underdeveloped and attached to it.
