Every now and again, the WNBA world collides with other sports worlds to create iconic moments. We’ve seen meetups, lifelong friendships and even some good old-fashioned handshake moments.
On Sunday night, two of the world’s brightest stars linked up before the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky game. WNBA star Caitlin Clark and MLS superstar Robert Lewandowski shared an epic pregame photo captured by the Fever’s social media team.

Lewandowski made the trip across Chicago to see one of the biggest stars in women’s basketball take on his city’s WNBA team. The Polish soccer star, of course, plays striker for the Chicago Fire of Major League Soccer.

Clark and Lewandowski are both among the most recognizable athletes in their respective sports, making the meeting a fun crossover moment for fans.
Superstar Link Up
Clark has continued to serve as one of the WNBA’s biggest draws since entering the league as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The former Iowa star quickly became a household name after a record-setting college career. She has helped bring unprecedented attention to the Fever and women’s basketball.
Lewandowski has built a similarly impressive resume on the soccer pitch. The veteran striker is one of the most accomplished goal scorers of his generation, having starred for clubs including Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona before joining the Chicago Fire.

The 37-year-old Polish international has also enjoyed tremendous success with his national team, becoming Poland’s all-time leading scorer. His arrival in Chicago gave MLS fans another opportunity to watch one of the sport’s biggest stars.
