We've reached the end of Week 1 in the Tennessee high school football season, which saw a number of standout performances by Columbia area athletes.

Now you can cast your vote for the very best to decide The Daily Herald's TSSAA football Athlete of the Week from Week 1.

Here are the nominees.

Kemoni McGowan, Columbia Academy: McGowan had six receptions for 102 yards and a touchdown in a 28-27 win over Fayetteville, including the go-ahead two-point conversion late in the fourth quarter.

Jamari Brown, Columbia Central: Brown caught three passes for 76 yards and a touchdown in a 27-13 win over Dickson County. He also had two interceptions, one of which was returned 85 yards for a touchdown.

Brock Daniel, Independence: Daniel had 10 total tackles, three of them for a loss, in a 24-7 loss to Rockvale. He also had a 19-yard touchdown reception.

Zakyus Everly, Lawrence County: Everly carried the ball 15 times for 90 yards and two touchdowns while adding 17 yards receiving in a 17-14 loss to Summertown. He also recorded 14 total tackles, with one for a loss.

JP Easterling, Mt. Pleasant: Easterling had seven catches for 98 yards and three touchdowns, while rushing four times for 56 yards and a touchdown in a 42-41 overtime win against Battle Creek. He also had a two-point conversion.

Kale Scott, Mt. Pleasant: Scott completed 25-of-32 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for a score.

Micah Sally, Summit: Sally rushed three times for 70 yards and a touchdown, while also adding three receptions for 26 yards and a score in a 21-7 win over Spring Hill.
