Houston Astros Demote 26-Year-Old Player Before Yankees Series
· Yahoo Sports
The Houston Astros are set to begin a three-game series with the New York Yankees on Tuesday. Both the Yanks and Stros have an off day on Monday, but it’s an important series for both sides.
For the Astros, they have not been playing their best baseball lately, but despite a 65-66 record, Houston is still a float at the top of the AL West. In their last two series, the Astros could not take care of business against the Los Angeles Angels and Athletics, which isn’t a great sign.

Speaking to the Astros’ latest roster moves, just because it’s an off day doesn’t mean the transaction wire goes quiet, and on Monday, Houston demoted 26-year-old Raynel Delgado to the minors.
