ALLENDALE — Passaic Tech gave up 22 consecutive points in the first half of its Aug. 28 football opener.

Perhaps the halftime talk centered on doing the same thing to Northern Burlington?
Passaic Tech trailed the Falcons 22-7 after the first quarter but fought back to prevail, 49-36, in the Jim Grasso Classic at Northern Highlands.
Burlington Township had won the 2025 season opener between the teams, 40-6, at the West Orange Mountaineer Classic.
The Bulldogs trailed 30-27 early in the fourth quarter of this one, but their next three drives ended in touchdown runs by Randy Lewis (his second of the day) and QB Colin Hietanen (two in a row). The last followed a Burlington Township muff of a short kickoff, which Malachi McGregor recovered.
