South Africa are facing the hosts in Windhoek on Friday, but catching the action is turning out to be a struggle.
Who is broadcasting the T20I tri-series?
According to the International Cricket Council (ICC), SuperSport is broadcasting the series between the Proteas, Namibia, and Zimbabwe.
The match is being shown on DStv’s streaming platform and Channel 245 – the dedicated Over-The-Top streaming channel.
The match is also available for streaming on the ICC’s platform icc-cricket.com.
For many fans, though, not being able to watch on ‘regular’ TV or DStv channels is the main issue.
The quality of the live stream is also being criticised by some fans on social media.

Recent posts on Facebook, Instagram, and X by Cricket South Africa (CSA) highlight what has Proteas fans so worked up.
Grant Fielding commented on X: “@DStv decide not to broadcast the game and then the stream quality is pathetic. Is this what we are paying for every month?”
South_africaking stated on Instagram: “Imagine supporting cricket south Africa 😂 u get to see them play a few games in a year and on top of that u can’t watch them on TV😂”
On Facebook, tagging SuperSport and its cricket imprint directly, Ikraam Mohomed asked: “What’s the purpose of paying so much for premium package and there’s 3 African countries playing a series and dstv is an African brand but we must stream the game yet watch England vs Pakistan on our home cricket channel?”
On Instagram Dehan_st highlighted the streaming issues: “Channel is struggling to work. Keeps lagging.”

What our streaming experience showed
When visiting SuperSport and clicking on “LIVE: Nam T20 Tri-Series – Namibia v South Africa“, the report contains a “WATCH LIVE” button.
This directs the user to DStv Stream.
However, watching the game still requires access to a paid subscription.
DStv’s support centre agents also confirmed that streaming the Proteas vs Namibia game was a pay-per-view service.
Comparatively, the ICC’s platform is currently streaming the game at no cost.
Creating an account and logging in is the only requirement to begin watching the T20I.
CSA previously described the tri-series as the start of a ‘defining international season’.
With the 2027 World Cup being hosted in South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe, the timing of these issues could not be worse.
