UEFA Europa League draw for British clubs in 2026/27

UEFA have completed the Europa League draw for the 2026/27 as the four participating British clubs learned their fate ahead of the league phase.
Bournemouth have been handed a dream draw for their first foray into Europe, as they will host AC Milan at Dean Court. The Cherries will head to Spain twice after drawing Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo, while they also face a trip to Norway to play Lillestrom.

Sunderland will travel to the San Siro to face the Rossoneri in their first European campaign in 53 years, and will welcome Dinamo Zagreb and AZ Alkmaar to the Stadium of Light.
Conference League champions Crystal Palace take on a long trip to Turkey to take on Besiktas, while they have also been drawn with Real Sociedad, Lyon and Sparta Prague.
Following yet another shock exit in the Champions League play-offs, Scottish champions Celtic will entertain Marseille, Celta Vigo and Ferencvaros to Parkhead.
Bournemouth, Palace and Sunderland will be hoping to becoming the latest Premier League club to lift the Europa League trophy, with the last two editions won by Spurs and Aston Villa respectively.

How the Europa League league phase works:
36 participating clubs will play eight games against eight different opponents, four at home and four away, in the league phase.
The top eight will qualify directly for the knockout stage, with 16 sides contesting a playoff round. The teams finishing between 25th and 36th will be eliminated when the league phase concludes in January. The teams that come through the playoffs will join the top eight sides in the last-16.
