Nicolò Tresoldi’s international future still up in the air
· Yahoo Sports
Nicolò Tresoldi has yet to make a final decision about his international future, despite reports coming out of Italy suggesting that the 22-year-old forward had already chosen which national team he wanted to represent.
According to Sky Germany journalists Kerry Hay and Patrick Berger, nothing has been decided. Both Germany and Italy remain firmly in the race for Tresoldi, with the DFB making efforts to convince the center forward to commit to Germany, while the Italian Football Federation is doing the same from its side.

Tresoldi is an intriguing option for both nations. The 22-year-old center forward has developed into an increasingly interesting attacking player, and his international eligibility gives him a major decision to make at this stage of his career.
For Germany, the opportunity to add another young attacking option to Jürgen Klopp’s plans could be particularly appealing. With Klopp now in charge of the national team, competition for places in the Germany attack will be intense, but Tresoldi could potentially establish himself as part of the next generation.
Italy, meanwhile, will clearly see Tresoldi as someone who could help strengthen its options up front.
For now, however, there is no commitment to either side. Germany and Italy will continue their efforts, and Tresoldi will ultimately have to decide which international future he wants to pursue.
