A Florida man accused of attacking an officer was left with a bloodied and swollen face in a terrifying mugshot released by police.

Broward County Sheriff’s Office said Ronald Jeffrey Johnson, 51, was arrested Saturday after challenging an officer to a fight at the Broward Health Medical Center, the New York Post reported.
The officer was called to the hospital in Fort Lauderdale after Johnson allegedly yelled at medical staff in the emergency department.
“I observed the defendant yelling at medical staff from the opposite side of the registration desk, causing a breach of peace in the waiting room and creating fear in the surrounding patients,” the officer said in the arrest report, per the Post .
Man allegedly charged at officer
When the 240-pound Johnson saw the officer, he allegedly shouted, “I want to fight you,” and then charged at the cop.
“A physical altercation between me and the defendant ensued, where he initially grabbed me in an attempt to fight me, and resisted me from controlling him,” the report said, per the Post .
The officer was able to arrest Johnson, but suffered a cut to his left hand that required stitches.
Johnson had to be treated at the hospital for facial injuries that included a black eye, and was he later taken to Broward County Main Jail.
He was charged with aggravated battery on an officer, resisting an officer with violence, assault on an officer and disorderly conduct, the Post reported.
Court records reportedly showed Johnson was wanted in Georgia for failing to appear in court on “terroristic threats.”
