- New number: 15
WR Lucky Jackson
- Previous number: 11
- New number: 9
DT Ben Stille
- Previous number: 72

- Previous number: 9
- New number: 8
CB Keith Abney II

Moore and Abney are the only number changes from players currently on the active 53-man roster.
Regarding Moore, the 2026 second-rounder returns to No. 8, which he wore throughout his four-year college football career at Michigan. The rookie EDGE switched numbers after the Lions released wide receiver Greg Dortch, who previously wore it during training camp and the preseason.
Although these number changes have yet to be reflected on the team’s official roster, they were announced on the NFL’s transaction wire.
The Lions' season-opener against the Saints is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Fox.
