Bayern Munich's women set a Bundesliga record on Sunday when they recorded a 45th match without defeat with a 4-1 victory over Freiburg.

Bayern's women had also held the previous mark of 44 matches without defeat from October 2022 until a 2-0 loss at rivals Wolfsburg in October 2024, after which they started the new unbeaten run.
Momoko Tanikawa got a brace and Vanessa Gilles and Klara Bühl scored the other goals on Sunday.
The champions have maximum nine points this season and so have Wolfsburg.
