No. 18 Tennessee pulls away from Georgia Tech for 45-24 win

ATLANTA, Ga. (WJHL) — No. 18 Tennessee overcame an early deficit and pulled away from Georgia Tech for a 45-24 win in the team's first road test of the season.
The Vols improved to 2-0 behind a career performance from senior running back DeSean Bishop, who rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.

After Georgia Tech took a 10-7 lead late in the first quarter, Tennessee responded with 24 unanswered points. Dejuan Lane returned an interception 41 yards for a touchdown, while freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon connected with Braylon Staley for a 20-yard score to give the Vols a 24-10 halftime lead.
Bishop added both his touchdown runs in the second half before Daune Morris capped the victory with a 47-yard touchdown run.
The win marked Tennessee's fifth consecutive 2-0 start under head coach Josh Heupel and gave Heupel his 47th victory with the Vols, moving him past Doug Dickey for sixth on the program's all-time wins list.
Tennessee returns to Neyland Stadium next Saturday to host Kennesaw State. Kickoff is set for 7:45 p.m.
