Trinity FC opened the scoring in the 42nd minute on a goal by Onyeka Gamero off a rebound, giving Dallas a 1-0 lead at halftime. The goal was Gamero’s second of the season.
Dallas came out of the break strong and doubled its lead in the 56th minute. Defender Cyera Hitzen played a through ball to forward Jasmine Hamid, who rounded the goalkeeper and finished the chance to give Dallas a 2-0 advantage. It was Hamid’s third goal of the season.
DC Power FC scored in the 66th minute to cut into Trinity FC's lead, but Dallas was able to see the game out after that. Head coach Lee Nguyen said he sees his team growing in confidence after a rocky start to the 2026 season.
"I think today we controlled it for the most part until that second goal, but being able to show them we can play against anybody, and now the results are coming," Nguyen said.
Next up for Trinity FC, they will face Fort Lauderdale FC on the road at Beyond Bancard Field on Sept. 18.
