Tonight, they will look to break this skid when they meet the San Diego Padres (82-68) in the second of a four-game stand. In Game 1, the Rockies fell short in their comeback attempt, but it’s a new day.
Starting for the Rockies is Kyle Freeland, just off the Injured List. This will be his 24th start for the Rockies this season.
The lefty has a 6.37 ERA in 124.1 IP. He’s struck out 103, walked 28, and given up 24 home runs. Freeland has a 1.46 WHIP.
Taking the mound for the Padres will be RHP Walker Buehler.
Currently, he has an ERA of 4.61 in 138.2 IP. He’s struck out 121 while giving up 53 walks and 19 home runs with a 1.36 WHIP.
