Luke Gendrich, sr., Wauwatosa East boys soccer
The Red Raiders had a perfect 2-0-0 record by outscoring their two opponents 4-0 on the week with Gendrich playing a massive role in both victories. In Tosa East's 1-0 victory over Greater Metro Conference foe Sussex Hamilton on Tuesday, Sept. 15, Gendrich scored the match-winning goal. Two nights later against Nicolet, Gendrich tallied an assist on all three Red Raiders goals in a 3-0 shutout of the Knights.
Tegan Loechler, jr., Divine Savior Holy Angels girls volleyball
The No. 1 team in the area (and the state in Division 1) capped a wonderful week with a Charger Challenge title, including key victories over Wisconsin Lutheran and Oconomowoc in the final to extend its current winning streak to nine matches across all competitions. Junior right side/setter Tegan Loechler has been one of the key cogs for the top-ranked Dashers and it showed this past week. The University of Louisville commit tallied 42 kills across eight total matches with 94 assists, 39 digs and 12 aces.
Aubrey Molaison, jr., Lake Country Lutheran girls golf
Molaison had a record-setting week with a pair of individual victories for the Lightning program. On Monday, Sept. 14, Molaison won the Park Ridge mini meet at Mee-Kwon Golf Course with a 35 to set a nine-hole school record. Two days later, the junior won the Waukesha County title at Wanaki Golf Course with a 72, winning a two-hole playoff against previous athlete of the week nominee Addison Johannes from Arrowhead to also set an 18-hole program record score.
Rave Sickler, sr., Germantown football
In Germantown's 28-14 victory over Brookfield East in Greater Metro Conference action Friday, Sept. 18, the senior was a true bell cow for the Warhawks. Sickler toted the rock 44 times for the Germantown backfield for 246 yards and three touchdowns. The senior's 44 rushing attempts also broke the program's previous all-time record (37) for a single game.
Logan Zeise, jr., Milwaukee King boys cross-country
On Friday, Sept. 18, the junior runner won the 58th annual Angel Invitational hosted by Racine St. Catherine's on the UW-Parkside course. Zeise’s time of 15 minutes, 41 seconds was 37 seconds better than the runner-up's time. He also became the eighth runner in the event's history to win back-to-back individual titles.
