JEFFERSON, Texas (KETK) - The Jefferson Bulldogs are coming off a shutout victory over the Liberty Eylau Leopards. Tonight, the Bulldogs continued to roll as they took down the Pittsburgh Pirates from Class 4A.

FINAL SCORE: Jefferson 41 - Pittsburg 14
Currently, the Bulldogs are ranked fifth in the state in Class 3A Division II, according to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football, bringing their record to 4-1 on the season.
The Bulldogs will have a bye next week. Their next game will be on Oct. 9 when they welcome the New Diana Eagles to W.F. Lockett Stadium in the District 10-3A Division II opener. Kickoff will be at 7:30 p.m.
The Pirates drop to 3-2 on the season. They too will have an idle week next week. When they come back from their bye week, they will face off against the #1 ranked and 11 time state champion Carthage Bulldogs in the District 8-4A Division II opener at Pirate Stadium. Their kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
