On Saturday, the No. 1 Texas Longhorns visited Neyland Stadium to take on the No. 14 Tennessee Volunteers in a hotly contested SEC showdown. Texas was leading Tennessee 10-3 late in the 2nd quarter when Tennessee quarterback Faizon Brandon tried in vain to elude Texas tacklers, only to run right into defensive end Colin Simmons, who took him down for a sack deep in Vols’ territory while forcing 4th down.
Simmons stood up, mimed unzipping his fly, and then simulated urinating all over the field, much to the chagrin of ESPN on ABC announcers Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit.
The Texas defender was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for “simulating using the restroom,” according to a referee, giving the college football announcers room to add their own disdain.
“Just an absolute idiotic move by Colin Simmons doing that,” said Herbstreit. “When [he’s] supposed to be one of the leaders of this defense.”
“Yeah, it’s idiotic, and it doesn’t get much more vulgar, either,” added Fowler.
To be fair, it can absolutely get much more vulgar than that, but his point is noted.

The penalty almost cost the Longhorns, as it extended Tennessee’s drive. The Vols got past midfield but didn’t score after an incomplete pass on fourth down.
Texas ended up surviving in the end for a 20-17 road win, so no reason for anyone to get too pissed about it in the end.
