NL Wild Card schedule released, Phillies begin Tuesday

The Phillies are in the playoffs after finally deciding to get their act together, at least for a day. That means they head to Atlanta for a three game NL Wild Card series against their rivals from the south.

The series will begin on Tuesday night and continue for the next two days after that. Here is the official release for the Wild Card round.

That means the Phillies’ schedule goes like this:

  • Tuesday, 9/29 at 2:00 pm in Atlanta
  • Wednesday, 9/30 at 2:00 pm in Atlanta
  • Thursday, 9/31 at 2:00 pm in Atlanta (if necessary)

What those pitching matchups look like is still TBD, especially with the Phillies having to plan their path forward after needing to pitch Zack Wheeler to clinch that final wild card spot.

By now, you know about the Phillies’ struggles with the Braves this year, going 4-9 against them, getting outscored 66-43 and generally looking like the inferior team. However, this is the playoffs and anything can happen, especially when the playoffs begin. They at least stand a chance with the starting rotation they have, so now that they have a seat at the table, let’s see how it goes.
