Former Texas A&M assistant Klint Kubiak has Raiders off to 3-0 start
· Yahoo Sports
Klint Kubiak’s first three games as an NFL head coach have all ended in wins. The former Texas A&M assistant led the Las Vegas Raiders to a 35-27 comeback victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, adding to earlier wins over the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers.

Sunday’s game was Kubiak’s toughest test yet. Las Vegas trailed 27-16 in the second half and still faced a five-point deficit entering the fourth quarter. The Raiders’ defense then forced three turnovers, and Kirk Cousins threw touchdown passes on the ensuing possessions to put Las Vegas ahead for good.
Brock Bowers returned for his first game of the season and caught 10 passes for 116 yards, including the touchdown that extended the Raiders’ lead to 35-27. The win gave Las Vegas its first 3-0 start since 2021.
For Aggies fans, Kubiak’s rise has a familiar starting point. He began his coaching career at Texas A&M, spending 2010 and 2011 in offensive quality control before working as a graduate assistant and inside receivers coach in 2012. He went on to coach at several NFL stops, including New Orleans, and coordinated Seattle’s championship offense last season before taking over in Las Vegas.
Kubiak inherited a Raiders team looking for a fresh start, and three weeks in, the results have been hard to argue with. His team has won at home, beaten a division opponent on the road and now rallied in the fourth quarter against his former team.
The schedule gets interesting next week when Las Vegas hosts the Kansas City Chiefs. That game will offer a better look at how far Kubiak’s Raiders have come, but for now, the former Aggie assistant is unbeaten in his first NFL head coaching job.
