Florida mother of 4 arrested for allegedly leaving kids home alone to take cruise to Bahamas

A Florida woman was nabbed by North Miami’s finest after allegedly leaving her four kids alone at home while she went on a cruise to the Bahamas.
Nathalie Belizaire was arrested Monday when she disembarked the cruise at the Port of Miami. On Tuesday, the 29-year-old was on a video call with Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Mindy Glazer.
“Who leaves four little kids alone to go on a cruise?” Glazer said, as reported by Local 10.
Belizaire went on a Carnival Conquest three-day voyage to the island nation, allegedly leaving her infant daughter in the custody of three minor children living in the home, the New York Post reported.
The police charged her with four counts of child neglect without great bodily harm.

The Post reported that Lether Bazile, the father of the two-month-old infant, allegedly told police that the accused originally planned to leave the children with a relative. However, Bazile visited the residence and heard the television blathering and the chatter of children.
Bazile then called the police.
Police said they found four children in the home, alone. Their grandmother, Denise Wilkes, allegedly told officers that the accused was going to drop the kids off, but she never did arrive.
“You cannot make this up!” Glazer said. “We are just grateful nothing worse happened to those kids.”
One of the other children in the home was a two-year-old. The age of the other two children was not known.
Belizaire was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on Monday afternoon. Her bond was set at $10,000 US.
