Did Jim Mora and Colorado State football make a defensive coordinator change during a game?
CSU defensive coordinator Tyson Summers was on the sideline calling plays early in the game Oct. 3 against Oregon State.

But by later in the first half, Summers couldn’t be seen on the sideline. Cornerbacks coach Trent Matthews was wearing a blue hoodie signaling plays in to the defense, as Summers previously did. Kenny McClendon, who is listed as the co-defensive coordinator, associate head coach and defensive line coach, had a play sheet in hand while the defense was on the field.
The Coloradoan has requested comment from CSU on if an in-game change was made.
“There are no comments about football coaching personnel at this time. Coach Mora will be available at his postgame press conference” was the statement provided in response.
Some coaches do coach games from the press box, but Summers has been on the sideline as CSU's defensive coordinator, including earlier in this game. The Coloradoan did not see Summers with a group of CSU coaches returning to the press box after halftime.
This story will be updated postgame with what Mora says.
