College GameDay is in Iowa City for Saturday’s Iowa vs. Ohio State showdown, with Pat McAfee, Kirk Herbstreit, and the rest of the crew present for the show. However, not many are too fond of the show’s crew, including Pat McAfee. However, for college sports analyst Mike Farrell, the one he finds more “annoying” than McAfee is Kirk Herbstreit, and he let his feelings be known on social media.

“Unpopular opinion: Kirk Herbstreit is more annoying than Pat McAfee.,” he posted on X.

Herbstreit, who was the analyst for last Thursday’s Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns game, is under fire as he and play-by-play broadcaster Al Michaels tried to sweep Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson’s sexual assault allegations under the rug during the game. Michaels briefly hinted at those allegations, with Herbstreit replying about how well Watson has been playing as of late and converting the boos he received to cheers.

“If you follow football, you know the story … we don’t have to go through the whole Deshaun Watson thing,” said Michaels.

“When you convert on 3rd downs, you hit passes, you lead this team to victories, those boos turn into cheers,” replied Herbstreit.

The Browns escaped a Steelers comeback attempt and won 27-24.

Caitlin Clark Returns to Iowa as College GameDay Guest Picker

Meanwhile, this edition of College GameDay will have a very special guest picker, and it is none other than Iowa alum and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark. The Iowa women’s basketball legend will be joining Pat McAfee and the others at Iowa City just one day after her Indiana Fever were eliminated from the WNBA playoffs.

This will be the first College GameDay in Iowa City since 2006, and like last time, the Hawkeyes were also facing Ohio State, though the Buckeyes won that game 38-17. However, this time, the Hawkeyes are still undefeated at 4-0, having previously beaten Michigan in one of the biggest upsets of the season yet.
