STILLWATER — Braylin Presley will likely be added to Oklahoma State’s football roster as a wide receiver, an OSU spokesperson indicated Monday to The Oklahoman.

Presley, listed at 5-foot-6, 170 pounds, is a versatile player who could contribute to OSU in a variety of ways, but his path to playing time goes through established Cowboy receivers and running backs.

After starring at Bixby High School, Presley started his college career as a wide receiver at OSU in 2022. He appeared in seven games and caught five passes for 26 yards that season.

He transferred to Tulsa ahead of the 2023 season and started 10 games across three seasons at Tulsa. He moved from receiver to running back ahead of his senior season in 2025 and finished his college career with 336 receiving yards and 264 rushing yards.

Presley rejoined OSU’s football team last week after receiving a temporary restraining order from a Cleveland County judge in September that will allow him an extra season of college eligibility for the 2026-27 school year. Presley was in the high school class of 2022 and his attorney argued the NCAA improperly excluded his high school class from a new rule granting Division I athletes five years of eligibility.

Through four games, OSU’s running backs and receivers have been a strength. Running back Caleb Hawkins is the Big 12's fourth-leading rusher with 441 yards. Two wide receivers, Wyatt Young (410 receiving yards) and Justin Bowick (344 yards) rank in the top five of the Big 12.

At interior receiver, OSU has two players who fit in a similar physical mold as Presley.

Sophomore Chris Barnes, 5-foot-7, 169 pounds, is third on the Cowboys with 145 receiving yards.

Junior Miles Coleman, 5-foot-6, 158 pounds, has 12 receptions for 137 yards.

At running back, the Cowboys have a clear No. 1 in Hawkins. He has handled 83 carries for 448 yards this season. Senior Ayo Adeyi seized the exclusive backup running back role in a win against West Virginia and has 24 carries for 159 yards this season.

Tre Page III, a redshirt sophomore, is OSU’s smallest back and stands 5-foot-8. He is OSU’s third-leading running back with 83 yards.

Presley’s best path to playing time may be as a special teams returner.

He returned 12 kicks in his college career and averaged 28.3 yards per kick return. Presley has not returned punts in college.

This season, the Cowboys have returned a total of four kickoffs. Barnes has returned two kicks for 22 yards (11.0 average) and Coleman has returned one for 16 yards.
