Wisconsin Badgers quarterback Colton Joseph received an incredible honor after his monstrous Week 5 performance vs. Michigan State.

Joseph accounted for four total touchdowns, three of which were in the air despite him only completing nine passes.
Sure, he finished 9/20, but he threw for 145 yards with a trio of touchdowns and added 13 carries for 141 yards with a rushing touchdown.
As of Monday, Oct. 5, Joseph has been named a Davey O’Brien Great Eight.

The Great Eight actually consists of the nation's 16 best QBs from that particular week, but it's still a huge honor for Joseph as he could see his name in the mix for the yearly award if he keeps up at this pace.
At the end of the day, just hearing Joseph's name in the same conversation as CJ Carr, Josh Hoover, Julian Saying, Gunner Stockton, DJ Lagway, among many more, is an incredibly positive sign, knowing how things have gone in years past for this Badgers QB room.
