After securing their first preseason win on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Golden State Warriors didn't have much time to celebrate. On Wednesday, the Warriors had a date in Pacific Northwest for the second leg of a preseason back-to-back against the new-look Portland Trail Blazers. For their trip to Portland, the Warriors only suited up nine active players, with a flurry of players remaining in the Bay Area getting the night off.

While the Trail Blazers were hosting their preseason opener with a lineup featuring Damian Lillard and Ja Morant, the Warriors were without Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Yaxel Lendeborg, Al Horford, Brandin Podziemski, De'Anthony Melton, Gui Santos, Georges Niang and Gary Payton II.

Despite missing a bulk of their rotation, the Warriors kept things close on Wednesday, battling back and forth with the Blazers throughout the game. In the fourth quarter, the Warriors were able to tie the game at 90 with 10 minutes to play. However, Jeremy Sochan tallied 10 points in the fourth quarter to shut the door on any chances of an upset win in Portland. The Trail Blazers handed the Warriors their second preseason loss, 123-118.

Dalen Terry played 43 minutes for the Warriors, scoring 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting from the floor to go along with nine assist, eight boards and four steals in Golden State's loss in Portland. Second-year guard Miles Kelly led the Warriors in scoring off the bench, scoring 24 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field. Kelly added seven boards and six assists in 28 minutes.

The Warriors will now get Thursday and Friday off before welcoming the Sacramento Kings to Chase Center on Saturday afternoon for their fourth preseason game.
