Ex-UNH star Dylan Laube, Raiders visit Patriots Sunday. 'It's been so much fun'

For the second straight year, Dylan Laube will play at Gillette Stadium when the Las Vegas Raiders visit the New England Patriots on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The 5-foot-9, 204-pound Laube, who starred at the University of New Hampshire, is a running back/special teams player with the Raiders. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Laube will have plenty of familiar faces in the crowd.

"My whole family is coming, so that's six of them," Laube said. "I have some coaches coming and some old teammates coming. From the tickets I've gotten, probably 10 to 15 people, but I assume there are going to be 20 to 30 more. It's going to be nuts."

Now in his third NFL season, Laube, originally from Long Island, New York, said the opportunity to play in front of family and friends never gets old.

"From a small-town kid to a small FCS school to the NFL, and now playing back at Gillette (for a second time), it's a dream come true," Laube said. "It's been so much fun and just an unbelievable experience so far. It's definitely business now, but at the same time it's just been an unbelievable experience."

Laube achieving success as kick returner for Raiders

Laube, a sixth-round pick by the Raiders in 2024, played in 10 games in his rookie year with Las Vegas. He played in all 17 games in 2025, and has played in all four games this season.

This season, Laube leads Las Vegas with seven kickoff returns for 234 yards, averaging 33.4 yards per return with a long return of 53 yards. He has not carried the ball or caught a pass.

Laube is enjoying every moment.

"Every single day, I'm not going to lie is a highlight for me," Laube said. "Every single day, every single game. You stand there in the stadium and realize you're playing in front of 50,000 people and millions of fans (watching on TV). You're playing in front of crowds that you only dreamed about growing up. It's just unbelievable."

Laube expects 'hell of a game' as 3-1 Raiders face Patriots

The Raiders are coming off a 30-27 loss last Sunday against Kansas City. It was their first loss of the season after starting with wins over Miami (27-13), the Los Angeles Chargers (26-14) and New Orleans (35-27).

"We know the expectations going in there and winning that game, especially in a hostile environment like Gillette," Laube said. "It's basically my second home, so I'm super excited. It's going to be a hell of a game."

Laube and the Raiders beat New England, 20-13 in last year's season opener at Gillette.

"(Last year's win) gives us confidence," Laube said.
