The Los Angeles Chargers will be facing the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6, and it looks like they’ll have one of their top pass catchers for the matchup. Ladd McConkey has been dealing with injuries throughout the season, and it’s been his foot that’s recently been bothering him. Luckily, it doesn’t sound like it’s going to stop him from playing this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
“Chargers WR Ladd McConkey has no injury designation for Sunday’s game,” Schefter wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
That’s good news for the Chargers as they need as much help as they still search for their first win of the season. It’s been the offense where things have seemed to fall apart, and if it continues, there could be some major changes coming within the organization.

The one person everyone has their eyes on is offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel, who is trying everything to help the Chargers find a rhythm. Last week, he was asked about his job security, and he was honest about where things stand.
“I think it’s probably zero percent entitlement,” McDaniel said. “I know in this league, particularly in the first block, you’re gonna be held accountable. When you have high expectations and you’re getting the results we’re getting, that’s pretty standard operating procedure as I’ve seen in the National Football League in my experience
“Everybody that is paying attention, every fan, everybody wants the Chargers to do better. I would be foolish or I’d feel entitled if I didn’t expect there to be disappointment that comes with the territory of the job.”
Hopefully, the Chargers can find a way to get in the win column, but it won’t be easy against a Chiefs team that has yet to win a game.
