Flyers Game 11: Lines, Notes, & How to Watch vs. Avalanche
· Yahoo Sports
The Philadelphia Flyers (1-6-3) will look to build off of their first win of the season on Monday when they host the Colorado Avalanche (5-2-1) at Xfinity Mobile Arena in South Philly. Puck drop is at 7:00 PM ET.
As mentioned, the Flyers are entering Monday’s matchup following their long-awaited first win of the season. It took 10 games, but they found their way back into the win column. Porter Martone and Matvei Michkov played big roles in the win with their chemistry on full display.

As for the Avalanche, they bounced back from a shootout loss vs. the Stars with a big win against the Penguins in their last game. The loss against Dallas is just one of 3 for the Avalanche this season. They remain a very, very good hockey team, and will be a challenging test for the Flyers, who are battling the injury bug.
Puck drop is at 7:00 PM ET at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Here is everything you need to know before the Game.

Notes
Alex Bump, Cole Knuble, and Hunter McDonald are back from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Bump returns after an absolute heater down in the AHL, scoring 7 goals in 5 games. He’ll return looking to provide some goal-scoring spark for the Flyers. Knuble could be making his NHL debut, assuming he does, in fact, make the lineup.
That could be dependent on the injury status of two Flyers. This morning, head coach Rick Tocchet confirmed that Owen Tippett will remain out of the lineup for Monday’s game with an upper-body injury. As for Tyson Foerster and Sean Couturier, who both missed Sunday’s practice, they remain game-time decisions.
If both cannot go on Monday, the Flyers, who also loaned Jack Studnicka back to the Phantoms, could have 11 healthy forwards on the team. So, that would mean they either need to play 11 forwards and 7 defensemen, or make a VERY last-second call-up.
If I had to lean on one of the two game-time decisions to play, I’d lean toward Couturier, given it was easy to pinpoint Foerster’s injury. Couturier’s, not so much.
For the opponent, the Avalanche are very, very good. They score a ton of goals, tied for the 3rd most in the league. The Avs are also 11th in goals against with 23. Nathan MacKinnon is still doing Nathan MacKinnon things. They remain a juggernaut and will be a tough test for the Flyers, who are looking to build off of their first win of the season.
