Deshaun Watson will need to begin to put together more complete games. While he has been successful in several fourth-quarter game-winning drives this season, he has struggled to find consistency in the passing game through the first three quarters. He recorded just 84 passing yards through the first three quarters against the Baltimore Ravens but threw for 94 yards in the fourth quarter alone.
The Browns’ run game, both the running backs and the offensive line, will need to keep improving. Cleveland’s leading rusher, Jaleel McLaughlin, had just 9 rushing attempts for 41 yards in the win over the Ravens. With Quinshon Judkins battling an ankle injury, the rest of the Browns’ running backs will need to step up.
On the defensive side of the ball, Jared Verse needs to continue to develop his role as a leader within the group. Although he has consistently pressured opposing quarterbacks this season, he has yet to record a sack. It will be important for him to start making big plays and taking over games.
