George Pickens was having some fun on Monday Night Football.

The Dallas Cowboys wide receiver, 25, showed some love to a Philadelphia Eagles cheerleader with a playful, trolling gesture after making a successful play in the team’s 38-21 win at Lincoln Financial Field on Monday, Oct. 26.

After securing a big first-down catch, Pickens found himself nearly face-to-face with an Eagles cheerleader after the momentum from his play kept him moving past the sidelines. The confident Cowboys player then proceeded to blow her a kiss in a mocking move before making his way back to the field.

Seemingly unfazed by the gesture, the cheerleader took a few steps back to avoid a collision with the fast-moving Pickens after making the catch. She stood strong in her green-and-white uniform with her hands on her hips alongside the rest of her squad lined up on the sidelines, per a video of the moment on social media.

Pickens played a big role in Dallas’ 38-21 victory over Philadelphia, finishing the game with four catches for 57 yards, one ambitious — yet unsuccessful— hurdle over an Eagles player and he a secured 21-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter of the matchup.

After the game, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer gave one of the shortest press conferences reporters have seen from any coach this season. Lasting just over four minutes, he described the game as “it was good” and “it was solid” in a string of short replies.

While he told media he was “excited” for the team following the victory, he confirmed that he was “great” despite the brief answers and unusually short presser. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, however, added some context to the situation during his own press conference.

“Definitely hungry, pissed off version of Shotty,” Prescott said of his coach, per a video shared on social media after the win. “It’s not like he’s naive. It’s not like he hadn’t heard some noise about him... whether it’s the call in the games or whatever doubt that’s been out there, but we’ve got his back.”

“He knows that,” the Cowboys QB made clear. “He’s a guy that takes a lot of pride in his job, a lot of pride in this team.”

The Eagles, meanwhile, are having a difficult season, sitting in third place in the NFC East with a 2-5 record after suffering their fifth consecutive loss against the Cowboys. Franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts was ruled out for the remainder of the season after being diagnosed with multiple blood clots in his lungs.

“After further testing and monitoring, the current diagnosis is deep vein thrombosis as well as bilateral pulmonary emboli. He is clinically stable and has no significant functional limitations,” Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, said in a statement on Monday, Oct. 19.

Hurts will begin taking a blood thinner, which does not allow him to participate “in any contact activities, including football,” his agent said.
