Things look rosy once again for defending champions the New York Knicks as they produced their second straight win to move up to 2-3 for the season. New York won against the Chicago Bulls 133-127 after producing a 111-97 win over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.

Speaking after the game, Karl-Anthony Towns had a hilarious response to a reporter who wanted to know what he thought was the reason behind Josh Hart’s energy, per a post on X by ClutchPoints. KAT initially thought he was going to be asked a different question, but had a simple response.

“Oh, I thought you were gonna say something completely different,” he said. “Sugar.”

Needless to say, Josh Hart produced another high-energy display that saw him grab eight rebounds in addition to two points and three assists. Towns himself produced another commanding display, this time a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds along with five assists. However, for the second win running, it was Jalen Brunson who was the star of the show.

Brunson appeared to be at his dominant best for the first time this season as he finished with 38 points, seven assists and two steals in 35 minutes. Meanwhile, KAT and Landry Shamet both had injury scares in the first half.

Towns appeared to hurt his wrist after a collision with Chicago’s Noa Essengue, while Shamet ended up twisting his ankle after a dunk. Regardless, Shamet was an important contributor off the bench, finishing with 14 points and five assists.

The same could be said about Jordan Clarkson, who had 18 points and three rebounds along with two steals. OG Anunoby was the second-highest scorer on the Knicks behind Brunson, producing 23 points on 7-16 shooting, also grabbing six rebounds.

New York will now travel to Philadelphia to take on the Philadelphia 76ers for the second time this season, after losing their opening-day game against LeBron James and co.
