Browns defensive end Jared Verse had a lot to say before his team's battle against the Steelers, but Pittsburgh got the last word on Sunday afternoon.

The Steelers walked out of Acrisure Stadium with a dominant 27-6 win, jumping to the top of the AFC North standings before their bye week. The victory came after Verse said that Pittsburgh's offensive linemen played "dirty" in the previous matchup, adding that he couldn't "wait to see them again."

Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward replied to those comments, saying that Verse's words would be "addressed." Verse then fired back: "I'm not worried about Cam. I'm not worried about their O-line. I'm not worried about nobody they've got on their team. We're out there to go dominate."

Fans and analysts believed that Pittsburgh may have been motivated by Verse's bulletin board material, but Heyward made it clear that the team wasn't focused on Verse, who finished with one tackle and one QB hit in Cleveland's loss.

"Not motivated by that. We were motivated because we wanted to get this damn win before we got to the bye," Heyward said during his postgame press conference. "There's bigger fish to fry."

Running back Jaylen Warren, who racked up 143 rushing yards against Cleveland's defense, shared a similar sentiment.

"We didn't really pay attention to it," Warren said. "Some walk. Some talk."

When asked whether he regretted making those comments, Verse didn't back down.

"I stand by everything I said. As a man, you have to naturally do that," Verse said.

The Steelers and Browns won't meet again during the regular season, but the rivalry could still heat up down the stretch if both teams are part of the playoff race.
