The District 10 football playoff game between Cathedral Prep and Oil City has been moved from Veterans Stadium to Fairview High School on Friday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. The two are set to meet in the Class 4A semifinals.
On Friday morning, the Iroquois School District administration sent out a letter stating that Iroquois High School had “implemented heightened security measures” after online threats were made toward students by a juvenile who is not enrolled in the district.

The Iroquois football team is scheduled to play Girard at Veterans Stadium on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. When news about the threat was released, District 10 used “an abundance of caution” and moved the Prep-Oil City game out of Veterans Stadium because of concerns related to the threat.
District 10 posted on X, formerly Twitter, "Out of an abundance of caution, District 10, in consultation with PIAA, Oil City and Cathedral Prep High Schools, has made the decision to move tonight’s 4A semifinal football game between those two schools to Fairview High School. Kickoff will remain at 7 p.m. and tickets already purchased for the contest will still be accepted at the gate."
The letter from Iroquois stated that “local law enforcement is aware of the situation and (actively) addressing the matter.” The juvenile was apprehended by law enforcement and there is no longer a threat of any kind.
District 10 is keeping the Prep-Oil City football game at Fairview even with the juvenile in police custody. The Iroquois-Girard game on Saturday will remain at Veterans Stadium.
