PRINCESS ANNE, Md. (AP) — Bobby Gardner’s 29 points helped Maryland-Eastern Shore defeat Cheyney (PA) 81-55 on Saturday.
Gardner also contributed six assists and five steals for the Hawks (1-2). Saadiq Moore scored 18 points while going 7 of 13 (4 for 8 from 3-point range), and added six assists. Isaiah Griffin shot 4 for 6 (3 for 4 from 3-point range) and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line to finish with 16 points.

Amare Curtis finished with 15 points and four assists for the Wolves. Treshawn Cody added 10 points, six rebounds and two blocks for Cheyney (PA). S.J. Hutchinson II finished with 10 points and two steals.
